Come experience Carnaval in Oaxaca

Oaxaca is one of my favorite places in the world, and Carnaval is a chance to experience its energy up close. We’ll spend time in the streets and surrounding communities, following the celebrations, meeting local people, tasting regional food, and leaving room for the unexpected.

We’ll keep the group small and the days relaxed, with a mix of planned outings and time to enjoy each place at your own pace. From the music and movement of the Carnaval celebrations to a visit with a mezcal producer, the focus is on being part of the experience—not needing to know anything in advance.

Bring your curiosity, a comfortable pair of shoes, and whatever you like to use to take pictures. A phone is more than enough.

About Your Guide

I’m Benito, a traveler and small-group trip host who loves bringing people together to experience the places that mean the most to me. Oaxaca is one of my favorite places in the world, and Carnaval is a wonderful way to discover its traditions, food, music, and welcoming communities.

I’ll help make the logistics easy, share what I’ve learned from spending time here, and make sure there’s room for the group to explore at a comfortable pace. I’m also happy to share photography tips along the way, but you don’t need a camera—or any photography experience—to join.
